CAD Partners and CFO On-Call are trading names of CAD Partners Pty Ltd. It is a group of like-minded Accountants and Financial Controllers operating in both Australia and New Zealand.
This company and its service is very unlike the old style of suburban tax accountants ... in fact we do no tax and typical compliance work at all. We seek those with a strong a management accounting background, outgoing professionals who have drive and PC skills. Together we are a formidable team. We share both software and industry knowledge, work experiences and all trade under the one banner.
You would be almost certainly from a commercial accounting/financial control background. You feel as we do, that the market will increasingly demand a modern mobile financial control consultancy service that business owners can access, once a quarter, once a week or on-demand.
You must genuinely have a desire to help SME business owners, to set up and run systems to help with Cashflow Control, Financial Control and Future Planning. We like to get our clients the information they need to make month by month business decisions ... not wait until after the quarter or year when it's all too late anyway!
Once started we work very much like a market driven co-operative. To join us you need the qualities we describe below. Marketing that works and well-sorted business development systems are strong points and we pass this knowledge onto you.YOU don't have to be a marketing expert. There is NO LICENSE FEE but there are some start up costs (approx $26,600) + GST for marketing and training. In addition you will need $8,000 + GST for software and reasonable levels of working capital and home office equipment required. Income is shared on an 80/20 basis.
The company has what we believe is a truly unique and ground breaking business model, we call it a "Partnership" model. Under this model the Licensor and Licensee (CAD Partner) share the workload, the risk and the focus on client building. Your "partner" in this arrangement is the Company ... which undertakes all of the back-office work and a considerable part of the business building and gets its income only when you do ... not before you start to earn ... as with a franchise system.
Few, if any, other professional licensing systems have such shared risk start up, innovative methodology and systems and a genuinely proven method of business building.

It is a mobile service that goes to the client and helps train and support SME (Small Medium Enterprise) owners and their staff with computer accounting and financial control matters. (We train you to have expertise on the most commonly used SME systems.) We are often called on to help where a business struggles with MYOB or similar lower level accounting programs. We have learnt that businesses that have difficulties with an accounting system ... invariably have other serious financial control issues. This then provides us with an opportunity to provide CAD's 'Cashflow Control' and regular or on-call 'Financial Controller', or our 'Future Financials' services.
UNIQUE Method of Selling Financial Control: What sets CAD apart, is that it has a unique method that enables Partners to show a client, their CURRENT business position … and then their (possible) FUTURE position quite simply and quickly. This method shows the financial value to the client, thereby giving reasons for higher monthly fixed fee v. standard hourly rates.

Firstly you go through our comprehensive hands on and on-site training. This includes all computer accounting, operational and marketing elements. CAD Partners will provide you with QUALIFIED CLIENT APPOINTMENTS for an agreed period to an agreed formula. In addition it will provide its extensive manualised knowledge of how to generate and convert other client enquiries to business ... and what works and what doesn't. After the training, CAD partners effectively becomes YOUR marketing department to combine with your own efforts. It's impossible to be precise about what you will earn, as it so much depends on the application, style, capability and motivation of the individual. Our averages show that in recent years, in the first twelve months of business, the company has provided Partners with an average of seven (7) qualified appointments per month with business owners. These appointments along with own efforts of the new Partner, resulted in average first earnings of over $100,000. This we consider to be good for the first year ... as year one is always the year to get established and get regular clients. From there, a target in excess of $200k is quite reasonable, with some earning up to $300k a year in their second and subsequent years. Whilst some will work much harder than others, there is no boss to report to daily and each has the freedom of lifestyle, impossible in a normal employed position.

- Applicants will need a genuine service attitude and strong desire to 'add value'.
- Applicants must show instances where they have created value for employers and implemented financial controls.
- The large majority of partners are degree qualified CPA's and CA's, ex-Finance Managers, Financial Controllers or CFO's.
- In Australia to meet the ATO 251L ruling and the BAS provider requirments. Applicants must be a member of either the ACA, ASCPA, NIA, TIA, CIMA or ATMA. Check your professional body as some may require a practising certificate.
- Good communication and people skills are essential, as is an agreeable and confident presence when working with business owners.
- CAD prides itself on the very high standard and quality the existing team. It seeks to recruit only those that it judges are at least as good as the top 50% of CAD's, thereby continually improving the service delivery and reputation.
- Applicants must show a significant history of business employment and provide at least three referees being business colleagues who can attest to their capability.
- Commercial experience is a must ... an understanding of or having worked with some SME's and good accounting/business systems knowledge may be helpful.
